| Personal History | Born on Driftmark to Lord Syraes and his wife Daella during a celebration marking the rebuilding of High Tide and Spicetown on the Velaryon's ancestral island. Shortly after his birth, the family returned to Dragonstone where they spent most of their time. From infancy, Aenar was a lively and curious child. He would often crawl away from the watchful eyes of the nurses in order to explore the castle on his own. His desire for exploration stuck with him throughout his life. At the age of 6 he began learning closely with his uncle stern, learning the basics of sea travel. His interest stayed with a seafarers life and he spent the rest of his young life honing his abilities on the sea. |
